Marcelo Eligio Madan Constanten 1944, Santiago de Cuba, Provience de una famila Afro-cubana de profundo arraigo religioso. Hijo de Obatala(1951) Awo deOrunmila Ifa Shure (1992), ahijado de Ruben Pineda (Eyiogbe). Su abuelo paterno Eligio Madan y Madan Awo de orunmila llamado religiosamente IFANLA, nieto de eslavo y oriundo de Jovellanos en las provincia De Mantanzas. Su Abuela Materna Belen Hernandez de Madan una santera famosa oriunda de la cuidad de la habana hija de Obatala. Su padre Eligio Madan hijo de Osun y Awo de Orunmaila con El Odu Ogbe wale, su abuela materna. La Famosa santera santiaguera Rosa Torrez (Shango Gumi) quien fuero una de las primeras santeras de esa ciudad y nieta de Ma. Braulia negra liberta de esa localidad; Su madre Veneranda Constanten hija de Obatala, dedico toda su vida a la labor religiosa fundamentalmente en la santeria. Ingeniero en Electricidad, Instituto superior Politecnico Jose A. Echevarria (ISPJAE) Inventor y musico. Siendo un nino se inicio en el mundo de la musica como violinista y despues como aprendiz de la percusion afro-cubana. Curso estudios de electrividad en la escuela de Artes u Ofricio de su ciudad natal y en 1978 egresa de la ISPJAE conel titulo de ingenieria electrica, alli tambien se desarrolllo en la musica y en la danza afro-cubana. En la decada de los anos 80 desempena los cargos de director de ciencia y tecnica y mas tarde como vicepresidente tecnico y especialista de la industria de la produccion de instrumentos musicales del ministerio de cultura. La experiencia acumulada y la inspiracion que le produjo la obra del norteamericano Charles Muller le permitieron crear y proyectar en 1982 su primer invento: El Electrobata
